Auth0 uses a per-active-user model but tacks on separate fees for enterprise SSO, advanced MFA factors, log retention, and machine-to-machine traffic. Those ร -la-carte charges make monthly bills hard to predict as a project scales. Alternatives such as Azure AD B2C or AWS Cognito package more essentials in the base price, so Auth0 often ends up as the pricier choice.
